Update / Jailbreak?

Hello guys,

Having the issues that have been happening with 22251.

I am having trouble doing the jailbreak. I have a MY 20 F150.

When I try to use stick 1 in the USB I get a message “The USB storage device has been changed or removed. Installation will resume when the device is re-inserted”

I can do a soft restart by pushing the buttons on the dash. I can not do a “master reset” it hangs after I hit the continue button and will not proceed.

Any ideas on how I can proceed?

I also can not update via USB. I tried to get 23188 to install and get the error VER_ERR08

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?

Did you try the FMODS guys over on Discord or their website?

Also you might want to update to the newest SYNC version 3.4.23188 before you jailbreak it, Unless you like doing things twice that is.

I posted on fmods last night. My post is still waiting mod approval.

It will not update either. I get error VER_ERR08 try to reinstall again…

From other posts, I think the error is with rwdata being full

I am having the same issue with my 2020 Escape. I have the Sync updater and the latest version ready but after 15-20 minutes I get the VER_ERR08. Tried twice and my Interrogator log indicates:

APIM Model :LUST-14G371-CKC
APIM Free Space: 4.3G
/fs/rwdata = 0 / 1.2G
/fs/rwdata/quip = 0 / 35M

So I’m thinking this means I need to jailbreak and clear the /fs/rwdata folders.

Any other options? Possible to downgrade to an earlier version of Sync that I could then upgrade to 3.4.23188?

As of now, you can use the just released ford rwdata cleaner, now integrated in to syn3updater
