Update stuck on "Updating system software..." 3.4.21265 ->3.4.23188

Hello,

I have Ford Fusion 2018 with no NAV. Car is imported from US to Poland. I bought it with changed region. I also changed some things in APIM and ACM to be set to Poland.

I currently have version 3.4.21265 and trying to get EU non-nav 3.4.23188, via provided Auto Updater. I want to change it because seems like all mods are for 3.4.23188.

I plug the USB in and get message at the top “Updating system software…”(not sure what is it exactly in english). I tried to do it yesterday and stayed in the car for like 1-1,5h. Today I’m attemtping again, but doesn’t seem like there is much in terms of progress.

you may want to stay on 3.4.21265 since 3.4.23188 has a few bugs on non-NAV APIMS in Sync 3.0 native vehicles. You don’t gain any functionality.
NA non-NAV APIMS only have 8Gb of storage, while EU non-NAV has 16Gb due to the size of the voice file
Try another USB and make sure that noting else is plugged into the other USB port, not even a charging cable.

Expected for NO-NAV units.

Read and follow this guide → Sync 3.4 NON-NAV APIM: Failure to Update to Newer Version Sync 3.4

You will have to do that because the unit lacks of the required storage.

By the way, do you know if it’s possible to make station logos for Europe work in NA unit?

That was pretty much the point why I wanted the 3.4.23188, I thought maybe that’s why mod for them didn’t work. Then I read that it’s either impossible or very hard to get to work on NA units.
