Update sync 3.0 to 3.4 my20+ Apim without reformating?

Hi Guys

I have a 2017 kuga with a new apim 2024 i want to update to sync 3.4 but the last time i did it it bricked my unit as i didnt know it had been replaced.

I have a new 2024 Apim installed from Ford and now looking to update.

I see there is an update on the home page saying you can upgrade from 3.0 to 3.4 but without reformattinmg? is this the case and if so how can i do this?
Is there a video or instructons for this method - i have the sync updater installed and will create a usb but do i select the most recent maps or select the same F9 i have installed ?

Any help would be amazing.

Hello.

Can you run and share the interrogator log? (redact the VIN from the file’s name and content if you care about it).

If you want to go from 3.0 to 3.4 on MY20 hardware you will need to look into FMODS’ universal reformat package that can handle MY20 hardware.

Do no use Syn3updater to reformat a MY20 unit.
