I just recently upgraded from Sync 1 to Sync 3 and every time I get a phone call thru Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay they can hear me on their end but all I hear on my end is my radio playing.

If you answer a call you should not be able to hear the radio or at least the volume should reduce.
When someone calls or you call someone try turning up your sync volume whilst they are actually speaking to you as the volume works differently to the radio and usb music etc.
The same applies to nav voice, you need to increase volume to the correct level as the voice directions are being given.
Check your FCIM asbuilt for the following:

In your OEM FCDIM asbuilt, it has ‘00’ entered there.
00=No Remote Display, APIM Not Present, ACCT Fixed, ATWU Not Supported, RAF Not Supported. PWMVBCBT VBC
Change the value to ‘60’
60=Touchscreen Display, APIM Present, ACCT Fixed, ATWU Not Supported, RAF Not Supported. PWMVBCBT VBC
Post your FCIM asbuilt and I’ll take a look at it.

In your OEM ACM asbuilt, it has ‘D’ entered there.

Change the value to ‘9’.
