Upgrading from version 2.3 to 3.0 not available ?

I was looking for an option to just go to version 3.0 from 2.3 but looks like that option is not supported here, correct? The Syn3updater only has 3.3-3.4 versions so I guess I take the plunge to 3.4 if I do anything.

Yep, Syn3updater was created to do what Ford does not want for you: to go from 1.x, 2.x or 3.0 to 3.4, that’s why it works for 3.4 and not 3.0.

If you want to do stuff between 1.x and 3.0, you do that manually (files are available here as well).

I had swapped out hardware to move on from sync2 and really just wanted the safest and easiest update without risking some sort of disaster and being unable to return to the original 2.3 version. I spent time poking around the website but didn’t come across the option to get earlier versions… despite attempting searches for it. Part of my hesitation is not having talked to an actual person about it, but getting information from Google, which I will not fully trust. So I appreciate the forum here for real life feedback. If 3.4 doesn’t introduce any greater risk for me vs 3.0, then I would likely try it. The other option is to stay where I am since it’s working fine in terms of Android auto and calls/music.

I’m running 3.0 still because I see Sync3 about 10 seconds every time since then Android Auto starts… so I do not care about that …
