Hi everyone,
I recently updated my Lincoln MKZ to SYNC 3.4.23188 and installed European navigation maps (EU F11) using Syn3 Updater.
Everything installed correctly and works fine — except for one issue:
The voice assistant and navigation guidance are now in German, even though the system language is set to English.
I’ve tried changing regions and settings in Syn3 Updater, but it keeps installing either German (DS) or other European voice packages like Spanish (CS) or French (AT).
I would like to have both:
Navigation voice guidance in English
Voice control assistant in English
Is there a way to manually install the English voice package (like 5U5T-14G391-AL.tar.gz) without doing a full reformat again?
Any help or a ready .autoinstall.lst script for this case would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, these are a direct install via autoinstall.
You will need to install the EU NAV Voice file with English available.
You will need to install the EU Voice system file with Gerrman available.
You didn’t list the files you installed…
We’ll assume you replaced the NA APIM with an EU.
F13 is the latest map update…
I try to reinstall the system in AutoInstall mode with F13 maps, will it automatically apply English to Voice Control and Voice Navigator? Or is it still better in reformat mode?,

I tried it a while ago, I don’t remember exactly what format I did it in, but I got an error during installation.
I will try to delete everything from my USB-Flash and install it again.
Did you run the engine? looks like it shut down at 1/2 hour…
Installation was successful, but all voice control remains in Dutch, I want to put everything in English. Also after which the installation went through, I was told to remove the USB, but after enabling sync, it tells me every time that I need to insert the USB to continue the installation. I inserted the USB once and it re-installed. I also did a Master Reset after the installation.

What size is the APIM? Is it still the North America APIM with 32GB storage?
Run the Interrogator Utility and post the XML file from the USB here…
If the Sync voice is in Dutch you can change it in the General Settings menu. For the NAV, you didn’t install a NAV Voice file…
