2016 F-150 Sync 3 Update

I noticed that the unit does not have Android Auto capabilities. So I checked to see if the parameters were set up for automatic software updates. The selector was in the on position. So connected it to wifi, but there was not a selection for check update. The last SYNC was completed in NOV 2006 @ 1600hrs. Was suprised to see it was before the truck was created. Downloaded the Updater from FORD and it said “Update Complete”. Went in the truck the next morning and nothing had changed. Signed up with CYANLABS and downloaded the files to usb as instructed. However, I received “Installation Failed—The installation has run out of space or does not work with this version”. SO I completed a MASTER RESET and tried again. The unit went right into software update for 2hrs. SO I RESET again.

Is there a question here?.

Post a picture of the “about sync” screen.

Yes, the question is what can be done to update the unit? Should I try the latest version possible?

you need to update to sync 2.0 then 3.0 then 3.2 finally 3.4

Is that a 4’’ or 8’’ screen ?

Where do I find the files for 2.0 and 3.0?

Never mind i was thinking of another method just do this go to settings

then update to

OK, I will give that a try.

You didn’t answer if it’s 4 or 8 inches.

:warning: Do not go to 3.3 yet, read and follow this guide → Two Step Installation for Sync 3.0 Versions (2.3 thru 3.0) from Sync 3.0 Early Versions (1.0 thru 2.1) Maintaining CarPlay

Also, share the xml file the interrogator log generates. (redact the VIN from the title and content if you care about it).
