2016 Mustang meter brightness problem

Hello everyone,
Following the replacement of the Sync2 with a Sync3 on a 2016 Ford Mustang, I’m still adjusting the settings, and I just noticed that I can’t adjust the brightness of the speedometers and rev counters when the headlights are off, i.e., during the day. However, it works correctly when the headlights are on. Perhaps there’s a code to modify in the IPC or APIM?

Did it work that way before you updated your Sync? I have a 2015 Mustang and as far as I can recall before and after my SYNC3 upgrade, it was only adjustable when the headlights were on.

Thank you for your reply, I didn’t pay attention, I’ve only had the car for 2 months but the level is at its lowest and when it’s sunny I don’t see the numbers…

Interesting. Mine gets brighter when the headlights are turned off.

Try pulling the battery cable for 35 minutes.
Sometimes the other modules get a little squirelly when you do this kind of mod until they get a full cold boot.

Well, it didn’t work, and I noticed that the brightness adjustment on the sync3 screen is not available, it appears well but is not adjustable…

Hello everyone,
I thought I had reset the Sync3, but I hadn’t.
So after resetting the system, I got the brightness settings for the meters back, but it still doesn’t work on the Sync screen… although the adjustment slider is present on the screen, it’s impossible to activate it. It’s not a big deal, but if it’s possible to recover this setting, I’d be interested

Some options cannot be toggled unless the vehicle is running.

The brightness control in Sync works in night mode. By day the brightness is determined by the vehicle systems. The control is not active then.

I just did a test, and strangely the brightness adjustment no longer works… I don’t understand why, is the clock affecting the brightness? It’s 00:30 at my place.
