🔥🔥 2020 MAPS - EU (F10), NA (2.20) & ANZ (2.20) Maps added to Syn3 Updater 🔥🔥

Hi Guys, I successfully updgrade to the latest SYNC (3.4.21020) - from 3.4.20351 - , but the NAV can not be upgraded to F10 - I got MEM_ERR1. I used the “AutoInstall” mode, because my Explorer was build 09/20,. However the car was orignally equipped with SYNC 3.3. Could you guys tell me with this output, what kind of APIM I have? Is it a APIM that do not support the reformat, or is it still a APIM that might support reformat?

I’ve read that if a unit came with 3.3 or lower, it’s not MY20.
Only way to find out would be to find the sticker that’s on the unit, there’s a code that tells the MY.

About the reformat tool: the version that was leaked does not contain the drivers for newer screens, that’s why reformatting a MY20 bricks the unit.

So as you can see, it’s not the APIM alone, but the screen.

won’t be MY20, can reformat without issue

Why is reformat recommended over just an install/upgrade? I’m on 3.4.20351 and NA 1.19 maps.

Thanks

I’m trying to update from 3.0 19205 to 3.4 21020 w/ Nav. When I try to fill in the Updater I get No Maps as my only drop down selection for NA/CAN. If I look under EU then the drop down shows F9 01 2019 and F10 03 2021. Where are the NA Maps?

This is not the best place to place this question, since it’s related to the app.
Having said that, in the Settings tab change the branch to “Beta” and apply the change, it will prompt a restart and update of the app since you are some releases behind (current one is 2.5.7). Once you are in Beta 2.5.7, change the branch back to release and apply the change.

It’s faster, cleaner and will avoid potencial memory issues since packages are big.

that worked thank you

Although it is equipped with a big 10“ screen?

A post was split to a new topic: No Maps After Upgrade (ANZ Region)

OK? doesn’t matter

When will the 2020 maps of China be added?

That is up to Ford.

Okay… Now i try to update only the map from F9 to F10… I unmarked all that is to the 21020 and i got this error

lts-error 08

Is there no way to update to F10 now ?

I allready have the 21020 install, and it on a Ford Fiesta Vignale 2020 Europe. I cant use reformat tool becase it will break my unit.

I hope some one will help and not tell go and google becase im not good at this, and yes its easy maybe - but we all are not genius

Hello. If I have apim MY20 but display 2018, can I use reformat?

The error you are getting is because the autoinstall file has over 10 items, and that’s not allowed. I’m no expert, but I think it could be splitted into more sections or operations.
But wait confirmation from someone with more knowledge that me.

I think so, yes, because the issue is with the drivers and new screens, not the APIM itself.
But I would wait confirmation from someone more knowledgeable than me.

no idea, i believe it’s fine but you are doing it at your own risk.

Here’s how the Ford autoinstall to F9 maps looks. You could edit your F10 autoinstall to look like this and maybe it will work

You are correct, @SaNdMaN .

The info @colinmcg71 posted is a good example. To install maps like the manufacturer script, pay attention to the package order.
