uncertain what went wrong, but try to repeat the upgrade without maps and without removing USB drive until system asks for (at the very end). Installing maps takes forever and can be done after it’s stable again.
It worked now… almost 2 hours and 2 rebbot and now F10… thanks for this great work… But i wish the reformat tool was working on my car… its takes so long to update, and you cant see how far it is in the update with auto install.
So, I have a 2017 MKX. I am still on the stock 3.0 it came with, with the original map version NA1.17 (i think). I have been watching this forum for a bit, but im still holding off on doing any 3.4 updates for now (still under warranty, dont want to give the dealer any reason to deny coverage on something due to the unofficial update, but maybe soon). I noticed this thread mentions how the map updates posted here for NA 2.20 are not ESN locked. Since they are not ESN locked, does anyone know if its possible to use these map updates on an “official” 3.0 sync? While i’m still holding off on the 3.4 update, i certainly wouldn’t mind a map update.

Try installing the reduced version of the maps and voices with only the ones you need.
