Hello again! So I am in a conundrum; with my 2020 North America Edge ST.
First step, attempted auto install of all files. It failed, I forgot what the error was.
I was able to get Sync 3.4.21020 to install via the tool, and used autoinstall method.
Then I used autoinstall to attempt ONLY Nav 2.20 via the tool. Got an error, of course I forgot but long story short NAV update was more then 10 files so autoinstall failed.
So I manually broke up the way auto install was listed out in the file and it seemed to take BUT… settings screen still showed 1.19.
Every variance I am have attempted at installing has resulted in a MEM_ERR01 error.
Now I have tried everything from removing gracenotes , installed the small voice package. Still stuck. So here is the log file. What to do? I am wondering if I should go back to 20282 and install the 2.20 there, then update up 21020… Thoughts

What do you mean by that?.
The “broken up” installation of maps via autoinstall was successful?
Since you have a MY20, do not reformat.
I went into the lst file and separated the amount of “items” to less then 10 on both.
I understood that part, I meant about the “it seemed to take but settings screen still showed 1.19”…
I basically got no errors when I did this. But when I goto the settings/general screen it shows nav maps 1.19. Left me baffled.
What license file did you use?
99% confident it was 4U5T-14G424-CD
Did you divide the files like this?
This is the NA 1.19 autoinstall for NA.

That’s exactly what I did…
But I did remove HB5T-14G386-TAC and HB5T-14G386-VGA and realigned the ITEM and OPEN number.
I wonder what those files are.
Do we know what these files are? I wonder if these are the golden ticket to make this work and get Cyan labs the info they need to make the automated tool run better.
Those are hardware/software checks for the installation. You don’t want them, I forgot to remove them…
The installation like this takes about an hour, maybe a little more. The installation will not start without a valid license.
HB5T-14G386-TAB 26Kb Check “SYNC 3 Version 1.x”
HB5T-14G386-TAC 26Kb --//-- unchanged (TAC=TAB).
HB5T-14G386-VGA 25Kb Iron check, “Check if SW is MY19”: $SW < 3.3.
For the MY2020 vehicles, you can actually leave them as they would pass the checks.
Just saw the Russian site as well. Wasn’t very descriptive, yours was better. That SOB took a while to run. Guess Im gonna try this again grab a couple of beers and hang out in the car for a bit and watch some DVR. In a few moments ill post what i plan the LDT file to be.
Kind of like getting a TCU to work!!!
I Google translated all that and put it in a document for safe keeping. Helps to have a Russian friend or two also. I am very curious if this works with the supplied license file. As far as I know, the NA map installs need a license for ESN, at least they did last year, on my wife’s 2019 Nautilus. If this changed, that would be great.
So this is what I got…
EDIT: See tutorial for updated autoinstall.lst…
The NA 2.20 are Sync3 v3.2.20339
I don’t think it matters? That looks like the map installation package part number…
You maybe right. So far so good. Cant remember if I saw this before…
And because I butchered gracenotes and voice I’ll have to reinstall that along with apps separate afterwards
I say it works…but I’ll wait till it’s done and rebooted before I say it really does.
You probably already know this, but…
It will reboot 3 times, leave the USB in. Wait for the screen that says to key cycle (or similar) message for the 3rd reboot. (I think this is correct, I did this over a year ago.)
Take pictures of any messages.
Yeah, but that’s easy…at least no MEM errors.
Mind sharing the exact AutoInstall.lst you used? Would be good to note for use in the updater.
