2021 Ford Transit 4" LCS – Stuck on 8" resolution – PKG_ERR04 on reformat with NU5T-14G381-AD

Already ran RWDataCleaner twice, using only NU5T-14G381-AD in reformat, still getting PKG_ERR04. Need the correct 4” software.

Reverted to the original 4" screen after upgrading the 8", which bricked after 1 yr.

Is there a question here?

Yes, I reverted to the original 4” screen and need that software. The several ones I tried did not work and kept the 8” touch screen software.

Install NU5T-14G381-BB, which is the latest 3.4 for 4 inches I’m aware of.

I’ll try that again. After I loaded -BB the resolution was still incorrect. Any thoughts on what may be the issue?

Get -BB installed, if it’s still wrong take a picture of the screen and share the interrogator log file.

Will do…itll take me a few days as I’m out of town for work and will have access to my van next week…Thanks for the info…

I cant see to clean off the 8” software…any help is appreciated…I tried that file (-BB). No luck. Tried NU5T-14G381-BB_1665526155000.TAR.GZ as you recommended.
Ran RWDataCleaner multiple times (2–3 passes).
Still getting PKG_ERR04 on reformat.

That tells me nothing.
That’s why I mentioned before:

I got the file, thanks but explain your current issue.

NU5T-14G381-BB will not load. I get a PKG_ERxx…can’t read the full error name on the screen due to the resolution mis-match. here is the log

Sync_V01X00F5_1FBAX2C80MKA13617.xml (10.3 KB)

Share a photo either way.

But without a proper error to work on, I would recommend using a good USB pendrive.
Also share:

  • screenshot of the USB’s root showing files and directories created
  • screenshot of each .lst file’s content, these are located on the ROOT.
  • screenshot of the SyncMyRide folder’s content

Make sure extensions are shown.

That was never going to work, you are trying to reformat the unit running a 3.4 where the reformat package is blacklisted.

I just said to install NU5T-14G381-BB, I’m not sure why you have the reformat tool in the autoinstall.lst file as well.

Get the proper autoinstall.lst file either by editing or just downloading it from the -BB link.

Heres the cleaner file I tried before loading the software:

Do not take this the wrong way, you are doing whatever you want, and not what I’m telling you to do.
So please, take your time, read what I’ve said and act upon.
If you have any doubt, just ask.

Ok, I see I have the two other files besides the -BB file. I will only add the -BB file to the USB. I’ve downloaded the associated Autoinstall file and see it only loads the NU5T-14G381-BB

I see what you are writing and will try just that.

That’s correct. You can have all the files you want inside the SyncMyRide folder, but they will be only referenced by the .lst file on the root. So you just need to have the correct .lst file on the root and the referenced file inside the folder. That’s about it.

Give it a go and share your results.

I loaded the file and the system rebooted but now the screen is blank.

Is the unit operational? (like audio, powered USB ports, a splash screen when booting).

Yes all of those work.
