Fusion is CGEA 1.3 so you should have no issues with replacing the radio (ACM) with the newer models.

Yes and no. OTA services like FM radio and FM HD Radio transmit some metadata in the signal, it depends on the station, etc. However, the older ACM’s (pre-late 2019) do not support this all that well, if at all.
SiriusXM logos are contained in the Sync application. There are some logos they push OTA, but for the most part they are retrieved from the Sync app. However, the ACM must understand and send the messaging to the APIM via the SDL links between the ACM and APIM. Again, not supported all that well on older ACM’s.
ACM’s built very late 2019 forward. These have the new XM chip. No CD player.
Last question… I am sure there is a lot of configuration to get a new ACM to work with existing APIM. I haven’t researched the boards here… but I assume there is a forum somewhere that reviews the changes I would have to make if I got a newer ACM? I would also assume I would have to work with Sirius to get my subscription moved to the newer ACM

Seems bizarre you can’t delete presets. Swapping ACM’s I think the presets remained the same. Firstly the APIM wouldn’t read my Old ACM. Replace the ACM with the matching APIM and. ACM brought the presets back. Then replacing the ACM back to the old original unit retained the presets from the matching ACM
So the APIM must have read the Matching ACM presets and stored them. The original ACM presets have been lost.
So to cut to the question. Is I was to reset with forscan where would you say the presets are stored? And which address?

This is due to different asbuilt data or the presets just needs to be reprogrammed to map properly to the APIM.

Is there a way to know if the ACM is new enough to support the OTA services ? I found an ACM from October 2019 and one from Feb 2020 and was wondering if they might be new enough or do we need to go 2021? Also the connectors on the back look exactly like the one i have in the car now from 2016
What are the part numbers?
Can you look inside and see if it is like this? If it is then it has no CD player and has the new processor to support XM services. (Like 360L) (There are some units that may have a cd player, it seems but not confirmed, that have the new xm chip.)

The ACM shows to be LS7T-18D818-ZC. It does not look to have HD radio.

I found a few of these with manufacture dates early 2019, so I would say it is not the new version.
Any idea where I might find one or a site I can go Look on?

It should. Just may need a little asbuilt tuning.
As always F150Chief thank you for the information… The connections on that back of that ACM look the same as the current on in my Ford Fusions except for that blue connector… Any idea what that is and if it would be needed or what it is?
