Oh, no worries.
It’s important since without that information we would assume it’s stock. That’s why I asked if it’s been serviced in the past, since a hardware swap may have introduced MY20 components.
And if it’s a retrofit, well, who knows what’s in the car…
That’s a fraud APIM. I will not say how I know because that is what is helping them make this look less like a fraud. There are several items beyond the sticker that are out of place.
That’s generic LED screen folks are using for Sync installations. Looks the same as a Ford screen but these are not genuine Ford parts. It will work but…
As far as the APIM, definitely fishy. The build date shows 12/22/2019 for a J-series APIM, which indicates it is either MY20+ or counterfeit. Since you were able to reformat the unit and it didn’t brick, it’s the latter. And here is the proof: The actual part number of the original APIM unit is HB5T-14G371-BCA, although the sticker says it is JR3T-14G371-ACH. I would bet that if you searched the internet for the serial number of the unit listed on the sticker it would return several APIM’s for sale.
This might just be the unit can’t boot because it needs the proper OEM screen attached, as it may not have the drivers for the aftermarket screen, since the unit is a remanufacture Gen 1 APIM indicated by the 2 USB ports, the metal FAKRA GPS port, and the firmware loaded.

Wow, oke thanks for this very long and not so good conclusion for me.
If I understand it correctly, I can’t do anything with this?
I bought this system in the end of last year, so I don’t think any refund will happen.
When I was searching the internet I came across an ad from someone who sells a new APIM and screen (was 5 years old, but he never had the time to install it because personal things).
On the sticker at the back of the APIM is has a modelnr HM5T-14G370-GNG and on the other side of the APIM (side which is against the screen) a number: HS7T-14G371-FAE.
Can you please tell me if this is a ‘good’ modell or also a fake?
As I said before, thank you very much for your time and input. It just turns out I just don’t know enough about it myself
The data lines up ok and it is a 64GB NAV APIM. But without seeing an interrogator utility log I can’t guarantee what it is as far as a fake. It is most likely not.
He wrote he never used it, the tear off is on the screen.
So I think he doesn’t have a interrogator log.
Do you mean by ‘It is most likely not’ that it’s a fake or a ‘good’ one
If you think it’s probably a fake, can you give me a direction or link to a APIM that is good?
(region: EU with nav and where this all begon, with dutch language)
I bought and installed the screen and APIM I found here in the Netherlands on the internet.
It seems everything is working, but I have a few things I hope someone can help me with.
The welcome message show ST Ford Performance, I would like to get de RS Ford Performance back
When I change the climate control, it is not being show on the screen
I think this version is sync 3.0, would you advise to go to 3.4 again.
If so, I hope you can and will help me through this process.
I don’t want to break it again.
When put in reverse I get a car with distance notification, but not my camera display
Do you still have the old APIM?
You can install it and extract that.
Once you have that baseline, you save your new APIM asbuilt as backup and write the old’s one to the new one.
Someone is still waiting for your interrogator log, keep that in mind.
Sorry for my late reply, but I was searching a lot on the internet.
I have managed to get the Climate Control on my screen and the camera is also working.
I made a USB with the interrogator log files, but when I stick it in the car it’s keep saying system update in progress.
Nothing happens
