Hello, I upgraded my Ford Edge 2.0 TDCi 2016 (Europe) from Sync 2 to Sync 3. I’m having some issues with APIM errors:

APIM-U0151:00-0B
APIM-U0198:00-0B
APIM-U020C:00-0B
APIM-U0238:00-0B
Everything seems to work, but I’m missing the volume icon when turning the volume up or down. In the menu, I also can’t adjust the bass/treble sliders — when I try to change them, they immediately go back to their previous positions. Maybe someone has a solution to these problems?

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?

My new Sync 3 that I installed came from a 2019 Ford Edge facelift, European version. I haven’t changed anything in the configuration yet, it’s still completely original. This is my AsBuilt.”
DTC B119F:13 GPS Antenna-Circuit open.
Check your antenna for damage or install one. Sync 3 upgrade will require it’s own antenna other than the Sync 2 OEM antenna.
Clear this DTC and see if it is persistent. This DTC will occasionally appear.
(DTC) APIM-U0198:00-0B signifies a Lost Communication With Telematic Control Module.
Since this is essentially a 2016 NA vehicle in EU, you could just disable the TCU in the APIM asbuilt. Look at your OEM asbuilt to determine if the vehicle is equipped with a TCU.
Communication issue with accessory components like wireless charger module. Likely an asbuilt setting.
(DTC) APIM-U0238:00-0B indicates a communication error between the Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) and the Digital Audio Control Module (ACM).
Likely an asbuilt setting.
I don’t have a TCM module in my car, so my question is how to disable it. I installed only a cheap GPS antenna, which is why the antenna error appears, but navigation still works. I also don’t have a wireless charger, so I probably need to change that in the AsBuilt.
I have one more problem. I kept the USB hub from SYNC 2, and unfortunately, I can’t connect to Android Auto. When I connect my phone with a USB cable, it just shows it’s charging, but Android Auto doesn’t launch. Could this be because of that USB hub from SYNC 2?
