How to Update USB HUB?

Hello all,
I wasn’t aware of the HUB issue before I updated to 3.4. When my car starts up, I receive this error “USB HUB are not supported. Please remove”. It goes away by itself. The hub works fine, though. The system itself boots up a bit slower than it did before.
The car had Sync3.0.18093. I was told it cannot be downgraded from 3.4. I’m curious as to why. Was firmware installed during the update?

Can I buy the factory hub and install my last FORD factory update?

No firmware, just reformatted the eMMC differently and you cannot reload Sync 3.0 versions.
The USB hub must be replaced with a CarPlay compatible hub if you want to use CarPlay.
See this iformation for the proper hub…

Thanks for the info Chief.

I’ve found CarPlay OEM hubs for sale. If I install one, will I be able to install my last saved Ford OEM Sync3 update?

If you upgraded to Sync 3.4 you cannot go back to Sync 3.0.18093. If you like the older look and feel of Sync 3.0 versions, you can use the Syn3 Updater to install Sync 3.3.
