Just performed this on my 2016 Ford Fusion. Used Windows and built the USB stick. So far working perfectly. No issues to report. Thank you to this forum and everyone on here for the great information and instructions! I got new maps and a working voice navigation as well!

I had the same issue.
Solution: Downgrade and install version 19274. This version has presented no issues to me so far.
Is it possible after upgrading to sync 3.4 can I go back to sync v 3.0 on my Ford Explorer
Hi, Iām trying to upload the 3.4 20136 EU map, for hours now. No luck so far! Verifying the software files fails! Every time over again.
No this is not possible, as per the instructions the lowest you can go back is to 3.2/3.3
Post the log from the application
May you support sync 3 v3.0 that would be much appreciated
The whole premise of this guide is to upgrade to sync 3.4, once you go to sync 3.4 it is impossible (for the end user) to return to below 3.2

Tested the upgrade more fully i did from 3.0 to the newest 3.4 and i love it. Seems snappyā¦ everything seems to work as expected. Check Navigation and that works well with the new mapsā¦ One thing that never worked with this new APIM was the update over WIFI. Do you know if this will work with the new 3.4 even though this isnt the factory installed APIM that came with the car?
Probably doesnt matter with what you have developed here which is aweomse CyanLabs. Kudos to you and this site again for making my car better! 
WIfi update does not even work on stock 3.0 that came with my carā¦
In fact I recall reading itās recommended to turn it offā¦

It is really dissaopointing, tried so many times, sometimes it works, but than all of the sudden it stops,
I give it up, I will download it else where. This is no use.

Many people have used this guide and program without issue.
When you posted earlier, Cyanlabs replied and told you to post the log file which you still havenāt done.
Thereās plenty of help about but you also need to put some effort in and not just expect that people are going to run about after you! Sorry if that sounds harsh!

When you run the program and have the issues that youāre mentioning, while still in the program you need to click on the Upload Log button on the bottom left, that will send the log file to here.

First of all big thanks for your efforts; my Ecosport MY2018 would have stuck with Sync 3.3 if it wasnāt for Cyanlabs and the rest of you.
Getting to my point now: I successfully upgraded from original Sync 3.3 to Sync 3.4.20021 (with F9 maps) using the manual method. My slow internet connection at home does not allow me to complete the automatic process, so I download each individual file at work and create the USB according to the guide.
I tried using the same method for upgrading from 3.4.20021 to 3.4.20136 (with F9 maps) but when the upgrade process started at the car, I got the message āPKG_ERROR04ā and the progress stopped. I tried a couple of times more, I even re-downloaded all files and tried again but with no luck. The USB is formatted as exFAT.
Please keep in mind that I cannot use the automatic method for the upgrade, for the reason stated above.
Can you please help me upgrade to the latest version? Thank you in advance!
Use the āmanual modeā on the application, put the files in the download directory and it will use them instead of redownloading. You canāt use the reformat tool to go from 19274+ to above that, you must either downgrade to before 19274 using the downgrade option in the app or the manual downgrade instructions on the website or do a manual update in the app

Thank you so much for the quick response! If I understand well, I have two options:
- Use the app of the with the latest files I have already downloaded (3.4.20136) and create the USB for upgrading from 3.4.20021 to 3.4.20136 - is this correct?
- Downgrade to before 19274 using either the downgrade option of app or the manual downgrade.
I am sorry for my naive questions, but I am not familiar with the downgrade processes - in any case I am liable for what I do to my car!
P.S. I was not aware of the āmanual modeā of the app - it sounds like the perfect solution for my case (where I have to download files at the office and do the upgrade at home)!
