I tried updating my 2017 escape non nav from 3.4.20282 to 3.4.20351. I keep getting the mem error. I remove grace notes and tried to install. I received the error again. I downgraded and tried again. I am getting the mem error code again. I also did the master reset on the downgrade version. Any ideas on what to do?

If you are already on 3.3, I would recommend just reformatting to the new version. This will ensure all unnecessary files/packages are removed and you will be left with a clean system.

Yes, that is the code I keep getting. I tried installing 20282 again. It is giving me that error for that one too. Not sure what’s going on here…

Run the APIM Interrogator and post the storage results from the xml file. It should be similar to this:

There does not seem to be anything wrong with the APIM or storage that would prevent you from updating. There is plenty of storage and no maps, or other things.
Can you post the log for the updater app?

This might be a widespread issue. There have been other users who have failed updates due to the certain Gracenotes package selected. Please try and use the 4U5T-14G423-CB package instead. It is specific to NA and half the size of the BB package. You can find it in the software database on this site under F Hub.
Place the downloaded package inside the SyncMyRide folder and use this AutoInstall file.
autoinstall.lst (425 Bytes)
If this install works for you after changing the Gracenotes package, let me know.

The files you are using will not work for your application due to storage limitations. the Voice and GN files you selected are EU Global files which will not fit on a NON-NAV North America APIM with 8GB of storage.

That is interesting as I using the Sync3 updater. I did not pick any files manually… With that being said, how do I do this? I have always used the sync3 updater. I figured out how to download those files from the f hub. I put these files in the syncmyride folder. How do i create/get the autoinstall lst file? Also what about the msa file labeled dontindx.msa?

I haven’t updated the package to use these files BUT this is not what FORD intended! another reason to show why Ford won’t ever update your sync 3.0 units to 3.2+

CyanLabs has updated the app to source the files you need for your application. Just go back to the app and make sure it shows these files for your update and repeat the process.
