This might be a widespread issue. There have been other users who have failed updates due to the certain Gracenotes package selected. Please try and use the 4U5T-14G423-CB package instead. It is specific to NA and half the size of the BB package. You can find it in the software database on this site under F Hub.

Place the downloaded package inside the SyncMyRide folder and use this AutoInstall file.

If this install works for you after changing the Gracenotes package, let me know.

The files you are using will not work for your application due to storage limitations. the Voice and GN files you selected are EU Global files which will not fit on a NON-NAV North America APIM with 8GB of storage.

Please use:

5U5T-14G391-CM 385Mb Sync3 v3.2.20142 (NA ENU,FRC,SPM)

That is interesting as I using the Sync3 updater. I did not pick any files manually… With that being said, how do I do this? I have always used the sync3 updater. I figured out how to download those files from the f hub. I put these files in the syncmyride folder. How do i create/get the autoinstall lst file? Also what about the msa file labeled dontindx.msa?

I haven’t updated the package to use these files BUT this is not what FORD intended! another reason to show why Ford won’t ever update your sync 3.0 units to 3.2+

CyanLabs has updated the app to source the files you need for your application. Just go back to the app and make sure it shows these files for your update and repeat the process.

In using the app, I see the voice is listed as 5U5T-14G391-BM. You listed the last two letters as CM. I looked for Cm in the F hub and could not find it. Thought maybe it was a typeo and tried installing. I am getting the mem err 3 code.

I moved this to it’s own thread.

Make the usb with the app, then use the autoinstall.lst I posted above and make sure you replace 5U5T-14G391-BM_1598635668000.TAR.GZ with the 5U5T-14G391-CM_1598635923000.TAR.GZ file in the SyncMyRide folder.

I used the removal of gracenotes tool. After that instalation was successful. I have been installing the full package, but I assume I have no gracenotes. I do not know if they are useful at any point.

You can install Gracenotes separately if you like. You are in NA, so the file would be 4U5T-14G423-CB_1598636132000.TAR.GZ

Before you do, you should update to 3.4.20351. (5U5T-14G381-EM).
Straight autoinstall, no reformat. You already have the latest voice file.
