If you have version 3.3 or less, it’s a simple automated update which takes 10 minutes.
If you’re on 3.4, you need to downgrade and then reformat to get the latest version. That’s how it worked for me because the memory space in sync 3 had been reduced.
Hi Just tried to update my 2018 ford transit custom sync 3 to sync 3.4
i tried as reformat install first but i had the same screen come up at around the same 18 mins i re downloaded the sync files so i have no log for that one
ive got to 18 mins in of the update and i get this screen

Most of the messages in this thread are not related to the 21098 build, confidence of keeping the thread clean is quite lost at the moment…
Do not use an external disk @bd271082 , use a USB drive, and a quality one preferably.
Also, do not have anything else connected to other USB ports.

Hi guy’s I just uptade my sync to 3.4 and it went well the only thing is that now I receive a message that the usb port is not compatible everytime is there something we could do , it wasn’t like that before thanks
I’m planning to update my 2017 Fiesta (UK, 3.4 20120 F10 maps) in order to incorporate any bug fixes. My updater(2.5.7.0) offers only an autoinstall for the APP file which is the only one I have selected. I think I need to downgrade; will the autoinstall do that for me, please?

The OEM hub on a 2016 F-150 will not support CarPlay, but will support AA, but you will have the message pop up on every start. If you want to replace the hub, they are about $55 US. Be careful about buying these from eBay and the like as there are many fake or reconditioned hubs on the market. The part number is HC3Z-19A387-E (BLUE BACKLIGHTING) for a 2016 F-150. 2017 onward changed to the narrow housing.
3.4.21098 does not seem to be problem-free . If you call up the navigation menu item traffic list and tap on “All” (retrieval via TMC, who wants to stuff money down Ford’s throat), the part has hung up reproducible for me. At “Ahead” still nothing happens, only when you tap on all. Screen no longer responsive, buttons also not, screen went not even after pressing the off switch off and the reset with “fast forward” + “off switch” has also worked only sometimes, after half an eternity. A hit on the APIM back of the head with FORScan then regularly brought the part back to life. After I went back to 3.4.21020, the problem cases in the surrounding area were displayed again after a few moments.
Can someone test this, preferably someone who has FORScan in use, so the APIM is then reset in no time.
Stutter on USB playback still there
Hi, I just updated my 2019 mondeo to version 3.4.21098 and I still can’t see the clock and I can’t control the climate control from the touch screen.
I have installed it with “autoinstall” mode.
Any idea how to correct the problem?

This is all the ROW maps rolled up into one file. ROW Q4 2019.
This is only the ROW map(s) for your location. Middle East, North Africa (19Q4).
This is for Sync 3.0, not for Sync 3.2 and up.
The first thing to do is run the APIM Interrogator tool in the tools menu of the Syn3 Updater to see what storage space you have available. Based on that, you would use #1 or 2.
Post the results of the tool here and we can help…

Feedback: Looks freaking great! It’s def snappier than the previous version. Maps are a bit different and look way better. Install time with Nav took ~27min. Other than restarting the download multiple times (The most hassle) the app performed great! Nothing causing issues so far, Apple Carplay is working like it should. We shall see what happens moving forward.

Hello, I have decided to update my Sync 3, version 2.2 to 3.4.
I have formatted the pendrive in exfat and I have downloaded the latest version of 3.4. When placing the USB in the car, it begins to charge the bar but when it takes approximately 5 minutes, red screen and says ERROR WRITING APPS PACKAGE.
I have tried to download it again and the same thing happens to me, please know some solution.
