SYNC 3.4.23188: Phone Name Missing & Pandora Screen Blank

I have sync 3.4.23188, when I started up my car this. I noticed in my home screen, my phone was connected and it just showed the three icons which is the cellphone signal strength, battery, and icon 911. It was missing my phone cell my name underneath.

In pandora it shows

Navigation Variant: Nav

Manufacturer Year: Pre MY20

Old SYNC Version: 3 4.23188

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?

Your phone name is clearly there it has just been blurred out for some unknown reason.

I’ve seen that happen on some models that weren’t Sync 3.4 native.

Had to reload the factory AB and then after that do a master reset.

This car also has a busted NAV, the GPS shows as down and the location shows as Dearborn which is what you get with US maps and the GPS receiver offline after a few startups.

Yeah I forgot to take a picture, but yeah just pretend that its not there and thats what happened.

My gps stopped working,

  1. No gps signal
  2. No gps icon
  3. Frozen in Dearborn, Michigan
  4. Siriusxm acquiring satellite signal

Sirius XM doesn’t supply the GPS info even if the antenna is inside the same housing.

It may ride the cable to a splitter but having XM doesn’t mean the GPS receiver is good.
