Sync 3 update problem

Hi, I updated Sync 3 in my 2016 Mustang GT from software 1.0.15139 to 2.2.17011. Then I updated to 3.4.26057. During update I had PKG_ERR03 in files: 14G421_CHJ, 14G421_CBJ, 14G421_CDJ. Finally it updated, but after restarting the car there is a message “Installation in progress. Some features will continue to be disabled until this process is complete. Please keep the update USB in the system and the engine running so that it can complete.” I tried to update again without maps but nothing changed. I tried to update again with maps but received error 4U5T-14G422-CAR_1774002538000.tar.gz : PKG_ERR03. After restarting the update it ended without errors but again there is the same message about installation in progress and additionally “navigation malfunction”. The car is NA region and I tried to update to NA region as well. I want to change the region to EU but first I have to install the update correctly and make CarPlay work.

That’s a file read error, either the file is corrupted of there’s something flaky with the USB stick or USB port

Hi.

It seems you are using a potato as USB, use a decent one and you should not get those errors.

Now, about navigation:

About CP, it should had worked while on 2.2. Did it work?.

That is why I tried to install NA version, if CP works it is ok for me.

After updating to 2.2 I did not see CP app, but I have an original USB hub, I ordered new one.

Should I try to install the same latest software with NA maps and reformat?

You wont until you plug in your phone with a correct cable.

I installed the update again with new Sandisk Extreme USB, it went fast and without errors. After restarting the unit, everything (of course no CP, I am waiting for the USB hub) the message about installation in progress still appears. I tried to create interrogator log with Syn3 updater, installation went without errors, the folder “interlog_20000114144421” was created on USB stick, but no xml file, in the new folder there is a file “utloggingutility.Interlog_utility.log” with following lines inside: InterrogatorLog() +
