Yes, that’s right, connector at the bottom, thank you.
This is an antenna that came with the Sync3. I installed it under the grille, just above the three center vents. I simply unplugged APIM from the Sync2 to replace it and reused the connectors from the Sync3. I don’t remember unplugging the original GPS antenna.
In my 2015 Mustang, I had issues with the 3rd party GPS antennas (tried 4 different ones) until I replaced the SiriusXM antenna on the roof with one that had GPS and SiriusXM and replaced the ACM to get the expanded SiriusXM stations. I used a Ford splitter to split out the GPS and XM signals. Replacing the roof mounted antenna is much easier than I thought. Somewhere on this forum is my post with the Ford part numbers of what I used.
I did not disconnect the GPMS module.
Thanks for your help, but I’m in France, and I think the hardware won’t be compatible.
I am sure there EU equivalents. Would look up EU Mustang 2018 and see what they use.
Oh yes, thank you, I’m very interested.
Can you find some VIN numbers for 2018 EU Mustangs?
My Mustang is a 2016, the module is from 2019.
Do you want my VIN?
I found this on a website selling damaged 2019 Mustangs: 1FA6P8CF0K5132367
I’m going to look for a 2018.
Mustang VIN 2018: 1FA6P8CF0J5115843
Is this an EU version or US version? And you need to male sure n it came with SYNC3 nav
I found it on a US site, https://autohelperbot.com
I found a 2018 with sync3: 1FA6P8CF5J5105518
it’s still a US
We need the EU versions since you are in the EU to get EU parts.
Ok, I’ll try to find it, but it’s not easy.
What antennas does your car have. Ideally some photos of those antennas would be grand.
