x40 in 18 explorer

I am looking to upgrade my 18 explorer to x40 siriusxm to get album art and have mixed mode presets (be really nice if i could get the siriusxm icons like sync4) as well so far I have added the two missing wires between the acm and apim. I attempetd to install an LT4T-18D818-BC acm. While radio would play sound my xm would never load and I was getting a code for the sat antenna. my questions is: 1. my explorer is a XLT non premium sound will the acm I bought work or do I need another one? 2. Do i need a new sat radio antenna? lastly will the apim KU5T-14G371-CDF work? best i can tell its a early 19 but it starts with K, so wanna make sure before I buy

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
non from update, just error seeing sat antenna when using new acm

Update Method: CyanLabs Manual Method

Did you follow the instructions…

Did you call Sirius XM and pay about $40 to transfer your subscription to the new radio?

I didn’t call and transfer service as I couldn’t get it to pull up the radio id for siriusXM, I was running my L series APIM so not sure if that was the reason or not. I just ordered a new acm (KL3T-18D832-BH) that isn’t A2B (same one I used for my sync 4 swap in my truck). and after reading the instructions I will go ahead and buy the KU5T-14G371-CDF apim, I just wanted to make sure as the apim is kinda pricey!

The KL3T-18D832-BH should work with the proper asbuilt.
Sat antenna should be fine.
Your K series will work, no issue there.

If you do not have a Sony or B&O DSP, then you will need to code that in the APIM 7D0-01-01 and the ACM 727-01-01.

The asbuilt databases are at: AsBuilt Databases - CyanLabs

Keep in mind that not all X40 units support mixed mode

yeah that’s why I ended up going with the KL3T-18D832-BH acm, I used it in my f250 sync 4 swap andI know it supports mixed presets along with album art
