US Imported Vehicle Conversion for EU Station Logos

NOTE: CyanLabs does not support changing regions.

For those of you looking to enable station logos on your Sync equipped US vehicle imported to EU, here are 2 threads illustrating changes needed for the ACM and APIM. As I understand, the settings in the threads allege that you will have EU frequencies and RDS. There are mentions of updating the firmware for the ACM as well as replacement.

You need to change the asbuilt data for the ACM:
727-04-01 xXxx xxxx xxxx
Change “X” for Tuner Region: 0=NA (North America), 1=GCC, 2=Japan, 3=Europe, 4=Asia Pacific

EDIT: AE logo file works best with Sync 3.4.20136. If you have updated to the not publicly released 3.4.20196 there will be a lot of missing logos with AE. There is a corresponding updated logo file named 1U5T-14G658-AF for Sync 3.4.20196.

I will try to enable it again but tried it before.
Somewhere in the forum is a description of how to do it. I used this https://cyanlabs.net/ford-apim-asbuilt-db/
I already have the frequencies and the radio, because I had 3.4_19101 before.

If you are looking to turn on Enhanced DAB, 4605 xx.

I will test all options. I hope something will turn on. Do I have to reset APIM after each change?

Just cycle the vehicle power. Turn off ignition, wait a minute, then turn it back on.

Unfortunately, nothing changes. Will I change to 4405 or 4605 the same all the time.

Your vehicle is still using US ACM settings.
You need to change the asbuilt data for the ACM:

Then there is another item not configured. You still have the US menu showing on the ACM.

0 for both, you probably have no satellite radio…

Do you actually have DAB in Poland? if yes then C, if no then 8.

There is DAB in Poland, but my car is probably not equipped.

I had 3.4_19101 F8, I uploaded 3.4_20196 F9 using Syn3 Updater. What do you suggest ?

APIM has incomplete or incompatible configuration.

APIM U2101:00-0B
Code: U2101 - Control Module Configuration Incompatible
Status:

  • DTC present at Time of Request
  • Malfunction Indicator Lamb is Off for this DTC
    Module: Accessory Protocol Interface Module

Most likely you have something configured as CGEA rather than C1MCA. Look for those selections.
